I feel we are now entering the “festive safe zone” where it is OK to start feeling a bit Christmassy without facing the wrath of the naysayers. Mariah Carey and the Pogues aren’t annoying yet and I’m actually enjoying mince pies.
Edinburgh really comes alive at this time and a big part of our modern traditions are the Winter festival attractions and of course the Christmas Markets. So, whether you spend a chilly evening warming your hands with a hot chocolate or Mulled wine, with colleagues, friends or family, enjoy this festive season and the good times ahead.

Spotlight on service: O’Donnell Moonshine
Every day is different in the removals world so each month we will put the spotlight on some of the services we offer and, share the stories behind the interesting and wonderful businesses, and individuals, we work with.
Our first spotlight is on the Christmas Market where behind those snow peaked log cabins is a whole host of logistics to make sure you as a customer are never disappointed….and in this case, the bar never runs dry!
For the last few years we have had great pleasure in being the modern-day bootleggers for O’Donnell Moonshine, an insta-worthy liquor brand rooted in traditions. You see the problem with the market stalls is they’re just not that big, and the way this Moonshine goes down, they need plenty of stock!
So, rather wisely these guys keep their Moonshine off site at our storage for safekeeping (a bit like hiding it in the woods) and when they need more, we bring it to the stall and unload in the moonlight…quite literally as it’s at the crack of dawn when deliveries are allowed.
Started in just 2017 by best friends Hugo, Alex and George, O’Donnell Moonshine has gained a cult following among discerning drinkers after an authentic Moonshine. They pride themselves on their traditional distilling methods and even bottle their Moonshine in traditional mason jars!
With flavours like “Roasted Apple” with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla, or “Tough Nut” made from hazelnut, caramel and a hint of whiskey, it’s no wonder these guys go down a treat at Christmas time. You can even try your hand at impressing your guests with a few of their cocktail recipes. Mulled Wine who?!
So if that’s whet your appetite why not go pay the team a visit at the Edinburgh Christmas Market, or if you can’t get there…the bar is always open online.
Questions to ask a removal company…
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and reliability but unfortunately not all those within our industry can say the same. We get a large number of enquiries from people who have been let down by a removals company or man and van service so have put together a blog to help people ask the right type of questions when choosing who to book with.
Obviously, we would love you to book directly with us when you need a removals service, but we understand shopping around is important and allows you to judge our service, as well as our price, against our competitors. We look forward to hearing from you in the future and in the meantime would encourage you to share this blog with anyone you know who may be moving soon so they don’t get caught out.
Let’s get festive…
